Ufa conceded to Octyabrsky and Neftekamsk in the Russian rating of cities with sustainable development

In the Russian rating of sustainable urban development Ufa took the 86th place among the 170 municipalities with a population of over 100,000 people. Rating was made by SGM agency. The studies were conducted in three main aspects of sustainable development: economic, environmental and social, including demographic. Cities were ranked on sustainable development index (IUR ). This integral index is calculated on the basis of 32 statistical indicators that characterize the level and quality of the economic base of the city, state of municipal, engineering and social infrastructure, labour resources and ecological environment. The study is based on the results of 2012.
Ufa has the sustainable development index - 0,495.
Among the cities of Bashkortostan above all in the rating climbed the city of Octyabrsky (44th, IUR - 0.545). Neftekamsk is also ahead of Ufa (72nd, 0.511). More modest positions are occupied by Salavat (121st, 0,470) and Sterlitamak (137th, 0.449).
Krasnogorsk became leader of the Russian rating (IUR - 0,682) - a small town in the Moscow region with the population of 122.8 thousand people. It has a favourable geographical position and high transport accessibility. Following Krasnogorsk the top 10 of the rating included Moscow (IUR - 0.652), Novy Urengoy (0,642), Korolev (0,628), Belgorod (0,627) Mytishchi (0,624) Balashikha ( 0,617), Yekaterinburg (0.615) , Kaluga (0.615), Podolsk (0.609).
Outsiders of the rating are Prokopevsk and Serov (IUR - 0.341).
