Mikhail Babich: "Feasibility study of "Yamal-Volga" project will be developed before the end of the year"

“Decisions are made that before the end of the year a feasibility study for the "Yamal-Volga" project will be developed”, the Plenipotentiary of the President RF in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich said at the meeting in Nizhny Novgorod devoted to Volga petrochemical cluster development.

Mikhail Babich marked that another important issue was import substitution. One of the major tasks which today the head of state set to the petrochemical industry is to provide domestic manufacture of products, which are now imported from abroad, but can be produced in the territory of the Russian Federation.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Energy Minister RF Kyrill Molodtsov, heads of petrochemical companies and experts. They discussed the study cases of the "Yamal-Volga" pipeline construction, issues of raw material supply of petrochemical enterprises of the district, development of capacities for deep processing of hydrocarbon raw materials, examined the prospects for polymers production.
