Industrial production grew by 2.3 percent in Bashkiria in 2013

The index of industrial production amounted to 102.3 percent in the republic in 2013 at the all-Russian index of 100.3 percent. Statistics say that in Bashkortostan industrial production is growing faster rates than the Russian average over the last six years.

According to the Statistics Department of Bashkortostan Statistics Agency enterprises of Bashkortostan rank fourth on this indicator in the Volga Federal District. Higher growth rates of industrial production are recorded in the Nizhny Novgorod Region (105.2 percent), the Perm Region (104.7) and the Penza Region (103.1). Also Tatarstan (101.2 percent, Saratov (101.2), Samara (101) and Udmurtia Regions (100.8) ended the year with positive results. In the remaining six regions of the Volga Federal District the index of industrial production is less than 100 percent in 2013.
