Electricity generation decreased by 7.7 percent in Bashkiria in 2013

In 2013 in the territory of Bashkortostan 22 428,1 million kWh was generated, which is 7.7 percent less than in 2012, according to the branch of JSC "SO UES" "Regional dispatch control of power grid of Bashkortostan Republic" (RDU).

Power consumption while increased by 1.4 percent - up to 25 705,3 million kWh.

The deficit was covered by power and capacity exchange over intersystem transmission lines from adjacent grids. According to the Bashkir RDU, the total power exchange to the grid of the republic amounted to 3.2772 million kWh.

As the Bashkir Generating Company (BGK) explains, the main causes of reduced production are low prices in the wholesale market and reduction of heat supply due to the reduction of its consumption in a number of industrial enterprises.
