Bashkiria is the leader in VFD on volume of housing loans

Bashkortostan is the leader on volume of housing loans in the Volga Federal District. In January-November 2013, the republic had issued 32426 housing loans to 33,445 million rubles, according to the website of the Bank of Russia. Tatarstan is on the second place: 30 317 housing loans to 33,191 million rubles.

Meanwhile, in mortgage loans Bashkortostan (23 231 loans at 29 216 million rubles) comes second only to Tatarstan (29 145 loans to 32,415 million rubles). The total volume of mortgage loans in Bashkortostan increased by 37.4 percent compared with comparable figure of 2012. While in Bashkortostan the highest average rate on ruble mortgage loans in Volga Federal District is observed: 12.9 percent per annum.

As the National Bank RB informs, Sberbank of Russia and Uralsib traditionally play the main role in the national market of housing loans. Other state-owned banks VTB 24 and Gazprombank significantly strengthen their presence in the region. Republican banks primarily "My Bank. Mortgage" and InvestCapitalBank also actively develop mortgage loans direction. Mortgage rates range from 12 to 15 percent per annum in these credit institutions.

In the near future a pilot project on financing housing construction using the system of housing construction savings will be launched in Bashkortostan initiated by the Government of the republic. The representatives of the National Bank RB consider that the new project will form effective demand balanced with volumes of economy-class housing put into operation, and the interest rate on loans to participants of the project will decrease to 6-7 percent per annum.
