Five tons of elite Bashkir honey will be sent to the Winter Olympics in Sochi

Five tons of elite Bashkir honey will depart from Ufa to the XXII Olympic and XI Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi on January 23.

Earlier it was reported that the Bashkir Research Centre on Beekeeping and Apitherapy would introduce the republican branded goods at the upcoming Olympic Games in Sochi.

Bashkir beekeepers will participate in a special fair, which will be held in the territory of "Velvet Seasons" of Imeretinskaya lowland from February 1 to March 16.

Note that Bashkortostan became one of few regions of the country which will show their branded products at the Winter Olympics 2014.

Five tons of elite honey are packed in plastic, glass and wooden packaging from 150 grams to four kilograms.

Total 68 types of containers were used for packaging, most of which - wooden souvenirs: painted wooden barrels, buckets.

Besides honey and other bee products will be presented at the "Olympic" exhibition - bee-bread, pollen and propolis, as well as medical and cosmetic products with honey.
