Qatar examines Bashkortostan’s investment potential in the petroleum sector and engineering

Negotiations with representatives of IAS International (the State of Qatar) were held at the House of Republic by the Deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan Government – the Minister of Economic Development RB Eugene Mavrin. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Economic Development RB.

“The purpose of my visit is to explore opportunities for investment and cooperation in the oil and gas industry, aviation industry, including manufacture of equipment and development of advanced technologies in these sectors” the President of IAS International Issam Abu Issa said. “Then we can define further directions for development and cooperation.”

Mr. Issam Abu Issa noted that Bashkortostan accumulated a lot of experience in oil exploring and processing, "therefore it is highly important for the republic to make a name for itself not only in the Middle East, but also, for example, in Africa and Latin America".

During the negotiations Eugene Mavrin told the guests about the distinctive features of the republican investment legislation and benefits to investors.

Qatar is the third country in the world in natural gas reserves, the world's fifth exporter of natural gas and large (21st in the world) exporter of oil and oil products. It is the member of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.
