Amount of contributions for major repairs is defined in Bashkiria

The Bashkortostan Government approved the minimum contribution for major repairs in 2014. It was approved in the amount of 5 rubles 20 kopecks per square meter of floor area for apartment houses up to five floors inclusive and 5 rubles 80 kopecks – for houses having more than six floors equipped with an elevator.

The corresponding decree was published on the Official web portal of Legal Information of the Bashkortostan Republic on December 30.

In 2014, the owners of residential premises can choose a method of forming the fund for major repairs: accumulate them in a special bank account or an account of the regional operator. The special bank account can be opened by the owners of a house at a general meeting and they willl be able to spend the funds collected for the repair independently. The regional operator accumulates the contributions for major repairs of all houses in the municipality, and the major repairs is carried out in accordance with the republican repairs program.

It should be noted that the decision on the method of formation of the major repairs fund owners of residential premises (special bank account or regional operator) should take in the period from 31 December 2013 until 28 February 2014.
