Rustem Khamitov inspected the first fixed weight checkpoint in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan the first fixed weight checkpoint is built. It is organized on the road section Magnitogorsk - Ira in Baimaksky region of the republic. The new object of road infrastructure was inspected by the President RB Rustem Khamitov during his working visit over the region on Friday.

The weight checkpoint will work since December 24. Its staff includes ten employees.

According to experts, the traffic flow of heavy transport on this part of the road is high enough: about 600 trucks pass here a day. Allowable weight of the truck depends on the type of a vehicle and a number of axles. Drivers pay for excess weight here at the checkpoint.

Until the end of December the similar fixed checkpoint will be also opened in the Arkhangelsk region of the republic, on the part of the road Ufa - Inzer - Beloretsk.

In addition, there are eight mobile weight checkpoints in the republic. In 2013, they provided revenues to the budget in the sum of 355 million rubles. 77 million rubles were spent for the maintenance of weight control service.
