Contracts for equipment supply for small-scale petrochemical cluster in Bashkiria will be concluded by the end of the year

The Ministry of Industry and Innovation Policy of Bashkortostan completes the tender of equipment suppliers for the Centre for Multiple Access to high-tech equipment of small-scale petrochemical cluster.

According to the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy RB Alexey Karpukhin, the equipment list is formed on the basis of "offers by many cluster members"; it takes into account the interests of different companies: producers of fine chemicals, plastic products etc.

The project will be funded by the grant. According to Alexey Karpukhin, 238 million rubles are allocated for creating the Centre for Multiple Access to high-tech equipment of small-scale petrochemical cluster.

In general, federal subsidies in the amount of 379.7 million rubles were directed for the republican programs on cluster initiatives support, the co-financing from the republican budget amounted to 94.9 million rubles, Alexey Karpukhin said.

The Director of SUE "Oil Refining Institute RB", Advisor to the President of Bashkortostan Republic on oil production, refining and petrochemicals Elshad Telyashev noted that in Bashkortostan there were more than one hundred companies producing small-tonnage petrochemical products. Of these, the cluster included about 20 companies.

Elshad Telyashev called receiving of federal grants as "a breakthrough step" that allow "to buy the most modern laboratory analytical instruments, installations for prompt elaboration of new technologies and bringing new products to the market".

Alexey Karpukhin considers that creating a cluster of small-scale petrochemical industry will allow reducing imports.

“The volume of high value added products based on the re-export of Russian raw material sources for 2013 is estimated as about 1 trillion rubles,” the head of the Ministry of Industry RB said. “The market is immense, evolving. Our task is from the raw material component of the primary technological processing to get to the final product eventually.
