Siemens analyzed Ufa electric facilities to implement Smart Grid elements

Specialists of JSC "Bashkir Electric Grid Company" discussed with representatives of Siemens Company results of the first stage of the pre-feasibility study on upgrading the power grid complex of Ufa.

In September 2013, two companies signed an agreement on cooperation. During this time, specialists of the German company conducted a basic and detailed analysis of electrical networks of the city.

One of the primary tasks of Ufa power grid complex modernization is the introduction of Smart Grid elements. Due to this the level of electric power dissipation will be reduced more than twice. The concept of "Smart Grid" today is a priority for the development of world electrical facilities said Holger Müller.

Preparation of pre-feasibility study on upgrading the power grid complex of Bashkir capital will be completed in the first quarter of 2014. Thereafter, it is decided to implement the project, the press service of the Bashkir Power Grid Company informs.
