In September average salary was 21,733.4 rubles in Bashkiria

Average wages amounted to 21,733.4 rubles in Bashkortostan in September 2013. The minimum living wage for able-bodied population now stands at 6897 rubles.

According to the survey on employment issues, the number of economically active population in the republic was 1998.2 thousand people on average for August-October this year.

While the number of unemployed in accordance with the standards of the International Labour Organization (ILO) was 115.2 thousand people in Bashkortostan. Total unemployment according the ILO standards was 5.8 percent, the information employment webportal of the Ministry of Labour RB informs.

Recall that, in 2012 136 thousand people residing in the territory of Bashkortostan, or 7.1 percent of total employed population were occupied in the territory of other subjects of the country.

Compared to the year 2011, an increase in interregional labour migration is observed in Bashkortostan. Thus, 113 thousand inhabitants of Bashkortostan worked outside the republic in 2011.

For example, in 2012 86.7 thousand residents of Bashkortostan found work in the Tyumen region, or 63.7 percent of total emigrants, 7.1 thousand (5.2 percent) found jobs in the regions of the Volga Federal District. 6.2 percent of total emigrants are employed in Moscow and Moscow region, 6.7 percent in the Sverdlovsk region, 7.4 percent in the Chelyabinsk region.

Thus residents of the republic mainly engaged in mining operations constituted the largest share (32.1 percent) among people coming to work in the Tyumen region (with autonomous districts).
