Bashkortostan is among the regions with the lowest inflation

Bashkortostan is one of the subjects of the Russian Federation with the lowest rate of inflation. It is on the 16th place in the ranking compiled by the results of January-October 2013. If the national average consumer price index for the ten months reached the level of 105.34 percent, and in the Volga Federal District - 105.24 percent, in Bashkortostan, it was 104.85 percent. According to these indicators, the region since the beginning of the year has moved from the 6th to 2nd place in the Volga Federal District and from 34th to 16th - in Russia.
The rate of inflation in the region slowed down this year. In January -October 2012 the consumer price index was higher - 105.2 percent.
The price situation in the country as a whole was discussed at the meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on review of the market of social kinds of food.
According to the materials of the commission, Bashkortostan has relatively low prices for a number of socially important products. Bashkortostan is included into top five regions of the Volga region on relative cheapness with its prices for mutton, chicken, butter, heat-treated milk, eggs, black tea and carrots. A ten-pack of eggs is an average 51.53 rubles in the republic - in the district they range from 44.75 in Mordovia to 59.38 in the Kirov region.
Also there are relatively inexpensive trolleybus fares in Bashkortostan - 11.7 rubles – while 11 rubles in the Orenburg Region to 19.24 rubles in Samara. The republic is on the third place on gasoline 92 octane prices with an average cost of 29.04 rubles per liter.
Many utility services in Bashkortostan, despite the July price increase, are still the cheapest in the Volga Federal District. For example, cold water in Bashkortostan worth 12.63 rubles per cubic meter, heating - 18.42 rubles per square meter of floor area, hot water supply - 236.84 rubles per person or 73.38 rubles per cubic meter, electricity supply services - 218 37 rubles. The ceiling prices for these services in the district are 23.02 rubles (Kirov Region), 38.58 rubles (Ulyanovsk region), 401 rubles (Samara region) and 112.1 rubles (Perm region), 283.7 rubles (Tatarstan), respectively.
