Rustem Khamitov met with representatives of «Eberspächer» company - the world leader in the production of car parts

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met today with the head of the German company Eberspächer Thomas Valdir. The company occupies the leading position in the global automotive market.

As Rustem Khamitov said at the meeting, Bashkortostan is the leader in the production of motor gasoline and aviation engines in Russia. The republic is extremely interested in creating new companies here.

“Car production in Russia is growing, despite the years of crisis. We have formed modern investment laws in the Republic of Bashkortostan and give great benefits for those who come with investment projects". "A number of major investors from Austria, France, Germany, decided to run business in our republic. I hope that we will be able to work jointly in this part", Rustem Khamitov said.

As the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "AutoVAZagregat" Alexey Kozlov noted at the meeting "we have a joint venture on the basis of "AutoVAZagregat", which is the largest manufacturer of silencers in the Russian Federation."

“We came here to present our company and basically to negotiate on the possibility of creating a joint venture for production, export of metal products for the needs of Eberspächer and possibly the entire European market. The company has very large consumption of metal products,” Alexey Kozlov stated. “Also, we plan in the near future to localize manufacturing of silencers for the needs of "KAMAZ" at the plant in Belebey.”

According to the head of Eberspächer Thomas Valdir "a segment of commercial vehicles output in Russia is of great interest for us". As he said, the Eberspächer representatives already visited the JSC "Belebeevsky plant" Autonormal".

“I was pleasantly surprised by the scale of modernization, which is now held in the company. We seriously study the question of specialized equipment production exactly in Belebey. An option to combine our manufacturing facilities and enterprises in Belebey is of great potential for us” the head of Eberspächer said.

Answering the question about the prospect of creating Eberspächer enterprise in Bashkortostan, Thomas Valdir said that "we received very interesting information from the President of Bashkortostan on the conditions of doing business and supporting investors in the region. Of course, we will use all this information to make a decision".

For reference. Eberspächer group of companies is engaged in production of car parts. It has 65 offices in 22 countries. The turnover of the corporation amounted to 2.8 billion euro in 2012.
