90 percent of sunflower acreage was harvested in Bashkortostan

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Bashkortostan, sunflower harvesting is finished on 90 percent of areas under crops, or 192 thousand hectares.

As the agricultural department informs, 15 regions of the republic finished harvesting this oilseed.

As a whole over the region, 237,000 tons of sunflower seeds were trashed with an average yield of 12.3 tons per hectare for today.

Thus, farmers of Sterlitamaksky and Meleuzovsky regions have the highest indexes. At this time 28.3 and 22.8 thousand tons of oil seeds are harvested in each of them respectively with the yield of 19.6 tons per hectare.
