Bashkiria increased exports by 7.8 percent in January-October - Customs

In January-October in the region of Bashkortostan Customs exports increased by 7.8 percent and amounted to 1 428.4 million U.S. dollars compared with the same period in 2012. Imports fell by 17.4 percent - to 521.2 million dollars. Thus, the foreign trade turnover, according to customs, was formed in the amount of 1 949 600 000 dollars - 0.3 percent less than the comparable period last year.
Export-import operations were made by 598 senders and recipients of goods in the current year. The republic supported trade relations with 92 countries (in 2012 - with 102 countries).
82.5 percent of turnover accounted for non-CIS countries. Exports to non-CIS countries in the current year increased by 8.5 percent, imports - by 1.3 percent. Exports to CIS countries increased by 5 percent while imports decreased by 59.8 percent.
Leading export trade partners of RB were China ( 22.6 percent), India ( 12.9 ), Finland ( 11.7 ), Ukraine ( 7.1 ), Indonesia ( 5.5 ). Import was dominated by freight traffic from China (15.6), Germany (14) , France (11.1), Uzbekistan (10.7) and Italy (9.3) .
The main items of Bashkir exports - are the products of chemical industry and rubber (43 percent of value of all goods shipped abroad, or 613.8 million dollars) and engineering products (37.5 percent, 535 million dollars). The same items prevail in the structure of imported goods: mechanical engineering generates 66.5 percent of imports (346.4 million dollars), chemical industry - 17.3 percent ( 90 million dollars).
