Number of storeys of Holiday Inn Hotel in Ufa will not change

In Ufa, the Holiday Inn Hotel and a business center near the opera house is being constructed. On November 21, a permissible number of storeys at the construction site will be discussed. However, the number of floors of the hotel will remain the same.

"The information that is being discussed today in the media that allegedly it is planned to increase number of storeys of Holiday Inn from 7 to 21 floors is incorrect. This decision was made with participation of all stakeholders and was approved. The frame of the 6th floor is erected already, and therefore such statements by some media are at least incorrect. On the issue of possible increase in number of storeys, then it concerns general understanding of Ufa historical centre development, whether to build high-rises here or not" Vitaly Pilipchuk, the head of Marketing and Advertising Department of "Arcada" Management Company said.

Previously public hearing to increase the maximum height of the hotel from 5 to 7 floors was held. It is planned to complete construction to the SCO and BRIC Summits to be held in Ufa in 2015.

The facility will be located on Verhnetorgovaya Square. Its area is more than 12,000 square meters. The hotel will have 201 rooms. In addition, there will be several conference and fitness rooms, a restaurant and an underground parking. "Arcada" Management Company is an investor, being the owner and manager of "Gostiny Dvor" Shopping Mall.
