About 10 thousand universal electronic cards are made in Bashkortostan

Today in Bashkortostan 12.5 thousand applications for issuance of universal electronic card (UEC) are registered. More than 10,000 cards are produced, including more than four thousand cards issued to holders.

On Friday, November 8, the universal electronic card is issued to the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov, the JSC "Bashkir Register of Social Cards" informs.

While receiving UEC, Rustem Khamitov noted that universal electronic card must, first of all, make government and municipal services accessible, understandable and transparent. According to him, it is necessary to develop the infrastructure of acceptance and service of universal electronic cards, which then will be able to provide work with a new generation of electronic passport.

USC will allow access to public services through special infomats, web portals gosuslugi.ru and pgu.bashkortostan.ru or multifunctional centres. USC will be used as a new type of medical insurance policy, as certificate of mandatory pension insurance and as a fully-featured banking, transport and discount card.
