CJSC "SMARTS -Ufa" may be sold to "Tattelecom"

The Federal Antimonopoly Service granted the petition of "Tattelecom" on acquiring 100 percent of voting shares of CJSC «SMARTS-UFA» and CJSC «Shupashkar-GSM», it is said in a statement on the website of FAS Russia.
JSC "Tattelecom" is a leading telecommunications operator of the Republic of Tatarstan. It is a primary provider of wired telecommunications, data transmission and Internet access and one of the leading companies in providing television services and mobile communications.
CJSC "SMARTS-Ufa" (Bashkortostan Republic) and CJSC "Shupashkar-GSM» (Chuvash Republic) are affiliate companies of JSC "SMARTS". It is included in having the same name group of companies that provides telecommunications services to subscribers of Volga, Southern and Central Federal Districts. Bashkir Branch of JSC «SMARTS» was detached into an independent company "SMARTS-Ufa" in 2012. Similarly subsidiaries in other regions were separated. In July 2013, JSC "Tattelecom" acquired 100 percent of CJSC "Kazan -SMARTS".
