Average unemployment benefit was 3878 rubles in Bashkiria in October
In Bashkortostan, an average unemployment benefit amounted to 3878 rubles in October 2013, or 57 percent of the minimum living wage for able-bodied population.
The share of unemployment benefit recipients in the minimum amount (977.5 rubles) was 33 percent, maximum (5636 rubles) - 41 percent.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Labour RB, as of November 1 this year, officially there were more than 22 thousand unemployed people in the republic. This is 16.5 percent less than at the beginning of the year. 42 percent of those registered now at the employment service are rural residents.
The most part of unemployed people are women accounting for 65 percent of total number of unemployed citizens. 20 percent are young people aged from 16 to 29 years. 12 percent are people approaching retirement age, eight percent are disabled people.
12 percent of the unemployed in the region are those who want to get back to work after long-term (over one year) unemployment period. Another five percent of the unemployed are those who are seeking for a job for the first time.
