Bashkortostan farmers purchased 2.9 million units of machinery and equipment during the first nine months of 2013

For the first nine months of 2013 farmers of Bashkortostan purchased 2.9 million units of machinery and equipment for the total sum of 3.6 billion rubles. Growth amounted to 106 percent compared to January-September last year, the Minister of Agriculture RB Nikolay Kovalenko said at the press conference.
This was made possible due to the national program of machinery updating. In addition, at the expense of the federal budget in 2013, cheapening up to 15 percent of value of certain kinds of domestic equipment purchased by agricultural goods producers was started.
According to Nikolay Kovalenko, a quota was allocated to the republic of more than 75 million rubles. Of these, 42 percent of funds have already been disbursed. 55 items of equipment have been purchased, including 39 combine harvesters manufactured by "Rostselmash".
