Best municipal entities will be named in Bashkiria during the Year of Environment Protection

In Bashkortostan, a competition on the best municipal entity is held as part of the Year of Environment Protection. Application forms for participation in the competition are accepted till November 20.

The competition overall objectives are to increase level of ecological culture among the population, accomplishment and gardening of territories, activization of municipalities regarding preservation of the environment and rational wildlife management.

As the press-service of the Ministry of Ecology RB informs, two nominations — «The Best Municipal District of Bashkortostan Republic» and «The Best City District of Bashkortostan Republic» are provided.

Among criteria of winners definition are expenditures of municipalities on the environment protection, attraction of the off-budget means directed on ecological safety of the population, realisation of investment projects.

A number of applicable ecological programs, treatment facilities availability, and also a number and status of specially protected natural areas are not less important.
