Average pension is 9,4 thousand rbl. in Bashkiria

On the threshold of the International Day of Older Persons coming on October 1, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency has disclosed the data characterising incomes and employment rates of republican pensioners for the last years.

Thus, in Bashkortostan 92,2 percent of the population over able-bodied age specified a pension as the main source of their subsistence according to the All-Russia Population Census of 2010. This indicator is equal 86,8 percent on average across Russia.

Last years growth of real pensions in 3,2 times to the level of 2000 has been observed, as well as all over Russia.

According to statisticians, an average pension has made 9,4 thousand rbl. per month in Bashkortostan that corresponds to an average indicator in Volga Federal District.

Thus the largest pension has developed in the Perm Territory (9,9 thousand rbl. per month), the least – in Republic of Mary El (8,9 thousand rbl.).

As the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency underlines, increase in real value of pensions promoted increase in their buying power in relation to the living wage (183,3 percent in 2012 against 107,6 percent in 2006).

Now the living wage of a pensioner is equal 5,3 thousand rbl. per month.

Last years in the republic a steady growth in number of working pensioners is observed. In comparison with 2000, their number increased in 2,3 times (from 13,7 percent to all pensioners to 30,3 percent in 2013).

Meanwhile a number of occupied pensioners is greater in cities — 36,3 percent against 19,4 percent in rural areas.

Also computers availability in private households is of a special interest for today.

This indicator steadily grows and now reaches 87 computers per 100 private households where a head of the household is from 51 till 60 years old.

Where the household head is over 60 years old 28 computers are accounted for 100 households. Thus practically one in ten aged person uses the Internet — 8,5 percent of interrogated.
