City volunteer clean-up to be held in Ufa on September 28

On Saturday, September 28, a city autumn volunteer clean-up will take place in Ufa. It is spent as part of a month campaign on sanitary clearing and accomplishment of territories in the capital of the republic.

Traditionally the ecological month campaign will come to the end on October 10, before celebrating the Day of the Republic.

It should be mentioned that on September 29, last year 118 thousand Ufa townspeople became participants of the autumn city volunteer clean-up. On that day about one thousand units of specialised equipment were involved for assisting people.

Participants of the event cleared more than 10 million sq.m of street and road network. Thanks to it the Bashkir capital got rid of 5,6 thousand cubic metres of waste.

Besides, participants of the autumn volunteer clean-up-2012 cleaned from waste over 1,6 million sq. m of parks, forest areas, parkways and public gardens, and also planted more than 7,2 thousand various trees and bushes.
