«The Dairy Country-2013» festival was visited by more than 20 thousand people in Ufa

Every year number of visitors of the All-Russia festival «Dairy Country» grows in Ufa.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on Bashkortostan, this year "dairy" festival was visited by more than 20 thousand people. One year ago 15 thousand Ufa townspeople and visitors of the capital became participants of the holiday.

As the head of the press-service of Ministry of Agriculture RB Lyasyan Hairetdinova informs, 47,4 tons of unskimmed milk, 4,8 tons of butter, 3,4 tons of cheese, two tons of ice-cream, 6,8 thousand cans of condensed milk, and also 5,3 thousand bottles of koumiss and 320 bottles of goat milk were tasted and sold at «Dairy Country-2013» festival.

According to the Minister of Agriculture of Bashkortostan Nikolay Kovalenko, such festival helps those milk producers, whose products are not presented in large trading networks.

It should be mentioned that now Bashkortostan is in the lead among subjects of Russia by quantity of milk consumed per capita. Thus, annually 350 kg of cow milk fall on each inhabitant of the republic. This indicator is equal 240 kg as a whole across Russia.
