"Green Russia" participants have collected 339 tons of waste in Bashkiria

About 339 tons of waste was collected by participants of the "All-Russia ecological volunteer clean-up — Green Russia". About six thousand inhabitants of our republic became participants of the "Green Russia" event.

It should be mentioned that Bashkortostan joined the "All-Russia ecological volunteer clean-up — Green Russia", which overall objective was to improve ecological situation in the cities of our country.

“On August 30 and 31, ecological actions on cleaning up the territories of settlements, nature sanctuaries and recreational places were held in all republican regions and cities. Local administrations and committees of the Ministry of Ecology of Bashkortostan acted as organizers of the event,” Nina Nikandrova, the press-secretary of the Ministry informs.

Industrial enterprises of Sterlitamak made a great contribution to the "Green Russia" event. They organised cleaning of city territories and collected more than 70 tons of waste.

Inhabitants of Ishimbay also took active part in cleaning of their native city. The event united there two thousand citizens, and by their common efforts Ishimbay got rid of 130 tons of waste.
