The President of Bashkortostan: «We should support elaboration and implementation of biotechnologies»

In 2013 Bashkortostan plans to receive more than 50 million rbl. from the federal budget for the project realisation on creation of a regional biotechnological engineering centre in the republic.

“Today we have a number of enterprises, which work in the field of biotechnologies and issue biotechnological products. These are preparations for plants protection and land recultivation, biofertilizers, medical products for animal industries, fodder additives, and also waste utilisers. Among companies which are engaged in manufacturing of such products are LLC "Agromaster", NVP "BashInkom", "Biomedhim", "Ecochimtech" and a number of other enterprises. They work quite successfully though there are problems, of course, which should be solved in common,” Rustem Khamitov underlined.

According to the head of the republic, in Bashkortostan several steps are made towards deep processing of grain crops and vegetative biomass. However, they show that in this direction «everything is not simple». And, not only from the point of view of finances but also from the point of view of all necessary processes organisation, search for experts, localisation of similar enterprises in the republican territory.

Rustem Khamitov suggested providing certain privileges for those using biotechnologies as possible measures. Another option is to consider how the state can incur a part of expenses or subsidise purchase of biotechnological products.
