Ufa takes the 13th place in Russia on polluting substances emission

RIA rating according to the Federal State Statistics Service for 2012 has made a list of one hundred cities — the largest polluters of atmospheric air. Four industrial cities of Bashkortostan were included into the rating. As statistics shows, the ecological situation has improved in them; last year's indicators are compared to the data of the last two years.
Ufa with its millionth population is on 13th place. Last year the volume of polluting waste made 205,5 thousand tons. For the last two years the indicator has decreased by 24,5 percent. The table shows that 34,6 percent from total amount of emissions are occupied by automobile exhausts.
Sterlitamak where 270 thousand people live is on 43rd place. The city factories discharged into the atmosphere almost 69 thousand tons of hazardous substances. It is twice less than in 2010 —minus 50,7 percent. Motor transport share amounted here to 16,7 percent.
The 51st place was occupied by Blagoveshchensk with industrial wastes volume of 58,3 thousand tons. 22,6 percent from them are automobile exhausts. The ecological situation in comparison with 2010 also has improved: emissions decreased by 15 percent.
Salavat with the population of 155 thousand people is on 62nd place. It dumped 44,5 thousand tons of waste. Analytics had no comparative data on a number of cities, Salavat was among them.
