Benzopyrene is detected in Roshen chocolate

Rospotrebnadzor has imposed a ban on deliveries of products by Ukrainian Roshen confectionery corporation to Russia, RBC informs. Infringement of requirements to quality and safety of food products became the reason of such decision.
“The revealed infringements give us a ground to bring up an issue on introduction of import ban for all production by the given firm,” "Interfax" quotes the main public health officer of the Russian Federation Gennady Onishchenko. “Instructions are given to customs bodies on interdiction of its import to our country.”
According to Onishchenko, there are some reasons to speak about system infringements of the legislation on consumers protection.
Rospotrebnadzor has selected for the analysis products from four Roshen factories: Kiev, Vinnitsa, Mariupol and Kremenchug. In all cases, according to Onishchenko, production «mismatches the declared parametres». And benzopyrene was found out in Roshen milk chocolate and this is «a sign of serious problems connected with safety maintenance of the given kind of production» the main health officer considers.
