The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov has met with the Princess of Bahrain

The President of the republic Rustem Khamitov has met with the Princess of Bahrain. Shaikha Dheya bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the President of the Riyada Group of Companies is in Bashkiria with a working visit. Cooperation with Bashkir enterprises, investments and participation in joint international projects were discussed at the meeting.

The program of staying of the Princess of Bahrain in Bashkiria is very intense: meetings with businessmen and visiting of factories are planned. The President RB told her about the main indicators of the regional economy development, enterprises and priority directions in industry and suggested participating in joint projects.

“There is a real boom of investment activity in Bashkortostan,” Rustem Khamitov marked. “The modern legislation is formed here giving essential tax privileges to investors. We are interested in your participation in construction and reconstruction of power generating objects, work of banking structures of our republic in the territory of the countries of Persian Gulf and advancement of our enterprises products in the Near East. We have enterprises which issue products of international standard, participate in the international projects. In particular, I can mention organisation of three oil refining factories in Cuba. All works from installation of the equipment up to technology debugging can be made by experts of our republic. The project budget is nearly 20 billion dollars.”

The Princess of Bahrain shared her impressions about the republic, having marked that «always had a dream to visit Bashkiria».

“Our region depends on sales of oil and accompanying products,” noted Shaikha Dheya bint Ebrahim Al Khalifa. “Our states are similar in this. During my visit I want to find out how to use this potential. Having arrived here, I have found one more possible direction for cooperation - agriculture. Besides, we will consider joint projects in the field of foodstuff manufacture and energy sector. We already have a strategic partnership with "RusHydro" company. Certainly, we will develop also oil and gas sector.”
