«The Zero Negative Impact on Environment» action was supported by 99 enterprises of Bashkiria

99 enterprises and organisations of Bashkortostan became participants of the first All-Russia action «The Zero Negative Impact on Environment».

The action essence consists in a short-term voluntary suspension of work by enterprises making negative impact on environment, providing that such suspension is admissible by a technology cycle.

«The Zero Negative Impact on Environment» action took place in all regions of Russia, on June 5, from 9 till 11 o'clock local time. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia acted as an initiator of carrying out this unique event.

In Bashkortostan among the large enterprises which have supported the action are Bashneft enterprises, Karmanovsky GRES power plant, Ufa Heat Power Plants-2,3 and 4, Meleuz Brick Factory, Kumertausky Furniture Factory, Bashkir Valve Plant, JSC "Electroapparat", "Iskozh", "Nefaz", JSC «Synthez-Kauchuk», and Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant.

Meanwhile, according to the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency, as a whole for 2012 402,8 thousand tons of polluting substances were emitted into the air basin of our republic — by 0,9 percent less, than in 2011. From them 377,9 thousand tons were gaseous and liquid waste.

33,4 percent of polluting substances from stationary sources of enterprises, organisations and individual businessmen in the territory of Bashkortostan were accounted for Ufa. Sterlitamak is on the second place in the region on volumes of emissions (14,3 percent), Salavat is on the third (9,2 percent).
