Prices have grown by 3 percent from the beginning of year in Bashkiria — Statistics

The consumer price index on goods and services made 100,6 percent in Bashkortostan in May, from the beginning of year — 103 percent, the Bashkortostan Statistics Agency informs.

In May — the prices for food products rose the most considerably by 1,1 percent (from the beginning of year — by 4,9 percent). Nonfoods rose in price for a month by 0,2 percent (in January-May — by 1,6 percent), services — by 0,5 percent (for five months — by 2,3 percent).

The Bashkortostan Statistics Agency marks that following the results of January-May the rate of inflation in 1,8 times exceeds the comparable indicator of 2012, and it is connected with the accelerated rise in prices for foodstuffs.

On average across Russia the consumer price index on goods and services developed at the level of 100,7 percent in May, from the beginning of year — 103,1. In the Volga Federal District the index of January-May fluctuates over regions from 102,4 percent in the Samara Region to 103,4 percent in the Perm Territory and the Chuvash Republic.
