German Siemens Concern is ready to modernise power grid in Ufa

The German Siemens Concern has concluded the Cooperation Agreement in the field of working out and realisation of complex upgrading program of Ufa electric grid with JSC "BESK", the regional operator.

According to the press-service of Siemens Company, the agreement provides an analysis of the electric mains and a «possibility to form a program upgrading power grid of Ufa with introduction of Smart Grid elements».

The Agreement is concluded for five years with prolongation possibility.

Siemens is ready to offer a renovation mechanism of the existing power grid. It is a question of optimisation of the grid scheme and configuration, introduction of new technologies, systems of smart metering of electric power consumption, automatic diagnostics systems of substations equipment with remote access, modern communication and control systems. Possibility of replacement of overhead circuits to cable ones is also considered. Moreover, ways of losses decrease in grids 6-110 kv will be discussed.
