Cedar parkways appeared in Ufa

Within the limits of the «Green City» public project in Ufa it was landed more than 200 young trees of the Siberian cedar. The “Vybor” training company was an initiator of the «Green City» project.

As the press-service of the Ufa administration informs, all young trees were brought from Altai range. Organizers of the «Green City» project, representatives of the Ministry of Ecology RB and volunteers participated in the actions on planting of the Siberian cedars.

Thus, on May 31, the "Altay" cedars were planted in Nepeitsevsky Tree Nursery and in the territory of Children's Republican Clinical Hospital. On June 1, cedar parkways appeared in Lenin Park and in the territory of City Clinical Hospital No.13, on June 2, — in Childhood Square in Shaksha district and in square of Veterans along Pervomayskaya Street. Besides, the Siberian cedars decorated the surroundings of several Ufa schools, kindergartens and court yards.

The height of the Siberian cedar can reach 25-30 metres, diameter of a tree trunk is one metre. Lifetime of the tree is up to 800 years. Last pre-revolutionary plantings of cedar forests in Bashkortostan remained perfectly in Birsk region. Cedars reach here 20 metres in height and besides are fruitful.
