Rustem Khamitov discussed cooperation issues with the Karlsruhe CCI President (Germany)

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov met with Wolfgang Grenke, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Karlsruhe of Baden-Württemberg federal land (Germany).
Mr. Grenke arrived to Ufa on Monday as the head of Karlsruhe CCI delegation. It is his first visit to Bashkortostan. The program of the visit includes meetings with the management of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bashkortostan, visiting «Gas. Oil. Technologies-2013» exhibition, participation in the Euromoney Investment Forum. As a whole, according to Mr. Grenke, the visit is of the fact-finding type, however already within the limits of the forthcoming events visitors expect «to discuss more specific questions of cooperation».
Baden-Württemberg is interesting to Bashkortostan, first of all, by the level of hi-tech business development.
The President RB expressed his confidence that Bashkortostan and Baden- Württemberg would be able to establish mutually advantageous cooperation in various branches, and first of all – in industry, tourism, scientific and technical sphere. Chambers of Commerce and Industry can become co-ordinators of mutual business relations.
“We are extremely interested in establishing companionable, friendly relations between chambers of Baden- Württemberg land and our republic,” Rustem Khamitov underlined.
According to Mr. Grenke, Karlsruhe CCI includes «65 thousand companies and businessmen, a large number of them are small and medium enterprises».
“Our industrial, technological district is an ideal partner for Bashkortostan,” the head of the German delegation marked.
The city of Karlsruhe is located in the centre of Europe; it is included into number of the most developed European cities. On the level of technologies development, economy and culture it takes the leading positions among the economic centres of Germany, Europe and the USA.
