In Bashkiria participants of spring volunteer clean-ups collected 317 thousand tons of waste

Over 317 thousand tons of solid household waste were collected by participants of ecological volunteer clean-ups in Bashkortostan this spring. They repaired more than 1,3 million square metres of roads and about 233 thousand running metres of fences and facades of buildings.

Besides solid waste collecting, participants of volunteer clean-ups planted about 495 thousand various trees and bushes. The Miyakinsky region became the leader on gardening where 120 thousand plants were set this spring.

“For today the share of cleaning and accomplishment of the republican territories reaches 99 percent,” Nina Nikandrova, the press-secretary of the Ministry of Nature Management and Ecology RB informs.

The state inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology as a part of administrative commissions checked up 1330 objects. 167 infringers of nature protection legislation were revealed. The total sum of penalties was 316 thousand rbl.
