Rustem Khamitov has familiarised with «Acrylic acid and acrylates» construction project in Salavat

On Monday, May 6, the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov during his working trip to Salavat has familiarised with the complex construction project on manufacture of acrylic acids.

In 2015 JSC «Gazprom neftehim Salavat» plans to put into operation a complex of acrylic acid and butyl acrylate production. Its structure should include three manufactures — crude acrylic acid and butyl acrylate with capacity of 80 thousand tons a year each, and also ice acrylic acid — 35 thousand tons a year. After reaching the designed capacity the Bashkir enterprise will not have competitors in Russia.

Now the single manufacturer in Russia of acrylic monomers is JSC "Akrilat" in the Novgorod Region.

Till 2016 «Gazprom neftehim Salavat» plans to invest 25 billion rbl in creation of acrylic complex. The project implementation can stimulate the development of the domestic market of products based on acrylic monomers.

In the long term a uniform complex to be created with raw materials manufacture in Salavat and their processing in Sterlitamak. This technological complex of petrochemical production should become a basis of the All-Russia centre of gas chemistry.

The new complex will take place in the territory of "Monomer" plant being a part of JSC «Gazprom neftehim Salavat». Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Company has already prepared the baseline design, documentation and developed the master plan of the construction site.

Adaptation of the design documentation to requirements of the Russian legislation is now conducted.
