Almost 2 million inhabitants are occupied with labour activity in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan 1 million 917 thousand 800 people are occupied with labour activity. From them 1 million 4400 are men, 913 thousand 400 are women. The Bashkortostan Statistics Agency published these data in connection with celebrating of the Day of Spring and Labour.

By statistics data, the average age of employed people makes 40 years in the region. The main part of the occupied people works in processing manufactures, wholesale and retail trade, education, agriculture, construction and transport.

Economically active population makes 2041,6 thousand people in Bashkiria. Number of the unemployed made 123,8 thousand people in the republic in 2012. A year-on-year decrease in this indicator totaled to 22 percent.

From among the unemployed 45,8 percent are made by young people under 30 years. 99,7 thousand people had workplaces not meeting hygienic regulations of working conditions, 35,8 thousand workers were occupied at heavy work in the republic in the end of 2012.

In 2012 at the republican enterprises 1084 people received occupational traumas. The main causes of occupational accidents are unsatisfactory organisation of works, infringement of traffic regulations, infringement of labour discipline.
