President of Bashkortostan offered to create a grant fund to support environmental entrepreneurship

The President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov charged the republican Ministry of Ecology to make offers on forming a special grant fund for development of environmental business in the region.

“We will create an ecological grant, or otherwise — a grant for environmentally focused enterprises which maintain cleanliness and order in our cities and villages,” Rustem Khamitov underlined today at the II congress of environmental businessmen of Bashkortostan. “Thus the fund volume should be quite large — not five, not 50 and not even 150 million rbl. Think it over, it should be good, powerful figure, corresponding to the level of our republic.”

According to the head of the region in order to create such fund to support environmental entrepreneurship we will have «to take out means from, trade branch, light industry and other not less important branches», but it’s worth the effort.
