Oleg Mikhaylov former top-manager of TNK PB is appointed Bashneft Vice-President for Oil and Gas Production

Oleg Mikhaylov earlier holding the position of TNK PB Vice-President has been appointed Vice-President for Oil and Gas Production of Bashneft. His appointment has been approved by Bashneft’s Board of Directors. On April 1, he started performing his duties, Bashneft informs.

“We are glad that Oleg Mikhaylov, who has a considerable experience in working for the largest international and Russian companies, has joined our team. I am convinced that Oleg will greatly contribute to further increasing the efficiency of the upstream segment and achieving the Company’s strategic goals in the sphere of exploration and production of oil and gas,” Bashneft’s President Alexander Korsik commented on the appointment.

In 1998–2011 Oleg Mikhaylov held various positions at Chevron company. In 2010–2011 Mikhaylov managed Chevron’s offshore operations. From April 2011 through June 2012 he was the Vice-President for the West Siberia Division, Upstream at TNK-BP, and starting from July 2012 Mikhaylov held the position of Vice-President for Operations and Asset Management, Upstream at TNK-BP.
