Dwellers of 146 from 513 failing and ramshackle buildings in Ufa will celebrate house-warming in 2013-2014

In comparison with previous years, in 2013-2015 «the unprecedented amount of means» will be allocated for resettlement in the Bashkir capital, Nikolay Lapshin, the deputy director of «Real Estate Centre» municipal enterprise of Ufa underlined at the press conference.

“It is planned to resettle people from 513 failing buildings, 146 from which will be resettled in 2013-2014. Total amount of hazardous dwelling is 137 thousand square metres. People living in it will be resettled into new apartments,” Nikolay Lapshin told the journalists.

It should be mentioned that the part of failing and ramshackle buildings in Ufa are objects of cultural heritage, therefore their demolition is not planned. As Galina Chiglintseva the deputy head of perspective development department of Ufa Main Department for Architecture and Urban Development underlined, in this case it was a question of resettlement of such objects and their reorientation or adaptation under modern needs, according to the land planning documentation.
