Delivery of large-sized equipment for PET manufacture was completed at POLIEF

A crystallizer — a part of the key equipment necessary for realisation of the investment project «PET-210» is delivered and mounted at POLIEF enterprise being a part of SIBUR holding. The project provides increase PETF production capacities from 120 to 210 thousand tons a year.

The crystallizer became the last large-sized equipment delivered at the plant within the limits of the project «PET-210». Due to the fact that such equipment is not manufactured in Russia, the crystallizer was made by order of UOP company in Italy, and it was delivered by special transport to Blagoveshchensk. The equipment weight makes more than 40 tons. During crystallizer transportation through Ufa lifting of overhead wiring of tram and trolleybus lines was carried out. Owing to good preparation and planning, the unit was mounted within an hour.

“The device is related to the major equipment which is delivered by the licensor. The process of PET solidphase polycondensation will be made in it,” Ural Urmantsev, the assistant general manager on development - the head of Polief design office informed.
