PFO regions increase trade turnover with Japan

Variety of regions of Volga Federal District (PFO) increases a trade turnover with Japan. It was declared by the Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in PFO Michael Babich during his working meeting with the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan in Russia Tikahito Harada.

Michael Babich drew attention to the fact that at enough great volume of goods turnover the size of direct investments in district regions was quite low. This figure makes at present 45 million dollars.

According to Michael Babich, connections with Japan which is a strategic partner of Russia strengthen in business, scientific, cultural spheres. He informed that only following the results of 2011 goods turnover reached 31,5 billion dollars as a whole across Russia, and almost 509 million dollars across Volga Federal District regions.

Mister Tikahito Harada said that he had already visited several Volga regions. He underlined that mutual relations between our countries should be developed not only at the governmental level, but also at the level of regions.
