«Kronospan – Bashkortostan» can prepare annually at least 1,5 million cubic metres of wood

The potential volume for wood preparation exceeds now 4,4 million cubic metres a year in the republic. In the region forest plots to be granted for rent to LLC «Kronospan — Bashkortostan» in the radius of 200 kilometres make 1,5 million cubic metres, the First Deputy Minister of Forestry RB Nikolay Maksimov said at the conference in the Moscow Region on the further development of wood branch in Russia.

In August, 2012 the President of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and the head of Kronospan Holdings East Ltd Peter Kaindl signed the investment agreement on construction in the suburbs of Ufa of a large enterprise on woodworking and manufacturing construction materials. Here creation of industrial park on deep woodworking is planned. In the Ufa district almost one thousand hectares of land is allocated under the future manufacture.

As the director of State Unitary Enterprise RB «Bashkir Wood» Tagir Fakhretdinov underlined at the All-Russia conference in Moscow Region, the site with all infrastructure where the factory would be constructed was under preparation.

It is planned, that the new «Kronospan» manufacture will start the output of products in 2014.
