56 percent of the planned elite seeds are purchased for spring sowing in Bashkiria

spring grains and grain legume, or 56 percent. One year ago at the plan of 40608 tons only 20238 tons, or 50 percent were provided in the republic, the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs.

Agricultural enterprises of 10 regions of the republic completely provided themselves with elite seeds for the forthcoming spring sowing. From them in six regions: Aurgazinsky, Bakalinsky, Durtyulinsky, Ermekeevsky, Kiginsky and Uchalinsky — seeds are bought even over the established plan by 5-33 percent. The future crop in many respects depends on quality of seed material, therefore farms try to purchase elite seeds whenever possible.

It should be mentioned that, the spring sowing campaign-2013 in Bashkortostan is planned to be started on April 20-25.
