The Central Bank warns about occurrence of pseudo-bank websites on the Internet

The Central Bank of Russia warns about occurrence of websites in which names words "bank" and "банк" are contained and which offer banking services on behalf of organizations, which are not registered by the Bank of Russia and not having licences of the Central Bank on realisation of banking operations.

It can be qualified «as realisation of illegal banking activity, responsibility for which is provided by Article 172 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation», the department of external and public relations of the Bank of Russia informs.

Data on addresses of websites of the credit organisations having licences of the Central Bank on realisation of banking operations, are placed on the official website of the regulatory authority in «Information on Credit Organisations» section.
