Rain and sleet caused icing of wires and lightning-resistant power lines in Bashkiria

In Bashkortostan ice is formed on wires and lightning-resistant power lines. It is promoted by worsening of weather conditions in the territory of Bashkortostan: last days practically elsewhere there were rains and sleet.

This problem is especially topical for Bashkir Trans-Urals. In the territory of Sibay Electric Grid the "Ice" mode was established: when ice build-up reaches critical weight, it is melt without stopping electric supply. As the JSC "BESK" press-service informs, diameter of granular hoarfrost on wires reaches 20-30 millimetres in some places.
