Bashkortostan farms purchased more than 20 thousand tons of elite seeds of spring crops and grain legumes for the spring sowing, or 46 percent from the planned.

As the press-service of the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs, at the present moment agricultural enterprises of eight regions completely managed with the task — Bakalinsky, Dyurtyulinsky, Ermekeevsky, Kiginsky, Mishkinsky, Sterlitamaksky, Uchalinsky and Chekmagushevsky regions. And farms of several regions even exceeded the plan on purchase of elite seeds by 8-33 percent.

As the Ministry officials mark, in 2013 the situation with elite seeds of spring crops and grain legumes filling is a little bit better than one year ago. According to experts, republican farms clearly realise that the future crop in many respects depends on quality of seed grain. Therefore they try to purchase elite seeds.
