Electronic Trade Forum in Ufa should become a prologue to agreements within the limits of SCO and BRICS Summits

“Carrying out of the international forum «Electronic Trade: Challenges of the Eurasian Integration» is great significance due to the fact that today electronic trade more and more replaces the traditional trade. More and more business communications occurs on the Internet,” Victor Klimov, the Vice-president of Committee of the State Duma RF on economic policy, innovative development and business, the deputy from Bashkortostan commented on the forthcoming forum in Ufa. “Since 2006 Russia has gradually transferred the state orders to the electronic tenders, auctions. Today there is a long-felt need to develop general standards for electronic trade not only inside our country, but also between other states, in particular, within the limits of uniform customs environment.”
A question of uniform standards development in this sphere is not a vacuous one, Victor Klimov underlines. Each country has its cryptography, its digital signature which cannot be passed to another country.
According to the deputy, today Russia is at the stage of electronic trade development when there are no established regulations yet. And as the country which promoted considerably in this sphere, it can play a serious role in formulation of these general regulations and standards.
It should be mentioned that the forum will start its work in Ufa on February 27. Participation in it was confirmed by nearly 300 people from foreign countries and regions of Russia. Among them there are representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Governments of Byelorussia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the People's Republic of China, and also the ministries and departments of the Russian Federation. The great interest was expressed also by the largest electronic trading venues. The forum should become a prologue to agreements within the limits of the SCO and BRICS Summits.
