Two thirds of Russians economize permanently – VCIOM

Two thirds of inhabitants of Russia admitted that they permanently economize. The Russian Public Opinion Research Centre (VCIOM) interested in the strategy of people behaviour at acquisition of goods and services.

VCIOM marks that economizing respondents number becomes more and more considerable. In March there were 57 % of them, in December there were already 66 %.

First of all, elderly people (83 %) and the respondents, which value their financial situation at a low rate (86 %) are constantly trying to reduce their expenditures. More often young Russians (21 %) and those, who estimate their financial situation as good (26 %) declare that they never save.

During statistical inspection VCIOM has interrogated 1600 people in 138 settlements of 46 regions of Russia. The statistical error does not exceed 3,4 %.
